    Ortaköy,(literally"the village in the middle") the European Bosphorus shore,formerly a small village,is now among Istanbul's coolest,chic-es,most artsy neighborhoods,with trendy boutiques,atmospheric cafes and bistrots,and visitors.It's a good place to stop for tea or coffe,a snack or a meal,a stroll,some boutique window-shopping or a rest,particularly if you are in Bosphorus cruise.
  • Beylerbeyi Palace :
    An Imperial Ottoman summer residence built in the 1860s, it is now situated immediately north of the 1973 Bosphorus Bridge.Beylerleyi Palace was commissioned by Sultan Abdülaziz (1830-1876) and built between 1862 and 1865 as a summer residence and a place to entertain visiting heads of state.Empress Eugenie of France visited Beylerbeyi on her way to the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.
  • Rumeli Fortress :
    Rumelihisari is situated at the narrowest point with 660 meters of the Bosporus strait,just opposite of the Anadoluhisar? on the Anatolian side.The place was chosen to prevent aid from the Black Sea reaching Constantinople during the Turkish siege of the city in 1453.

    Perched above the village are the ruins of Anadolu Kavag? a medieval castle with seven massive towers in its walls.First built by the Byzantines,it was restored and reinforced by the Genoese in 1350,and later by the Ottoman.Exposing a panoramic view of istanbul,Bosphorus and Black sea from the best point of view.
  • Poyrazköy :
    Poyrakoy is one of villages nearest to the Black Sea and is located on the Anatolian side of the Istanbul.From the minaret a bridge leads out to the gun emplacements and ammunition stores and a great view. Although the village is located on top of a hill,there is a road leading to the beach just before the village.Poyrazkoy is an excellent palace for a break or for shelter while sailing from Istanbul to the Black Sea.
