Tour Overview
After breakfast, we will drive to Eskihisar Harbor to take a ferry Ride to Yalova. Our adventure commences with a delightful ferry ride to Yalova, offering a serene journey accompanied by picturesque views of the countryside. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings as we make our way to the historical city of Bursa.
As we arrive in Bursa, the former Ottoman Capital, the city unfolds its rich tapestry of history. Founded by Bitnynian King Prusias I Cholus, also known as “the Lame,” around 228-185 BC, the city carries the altered Hellenistic name “Prusa.” Legend intertwines with history as it’s said that the great Carthaginian general Hannibal assisted in choosing this exceptional site. Referred to as “Yeşil Bursa” or “Green Bursa,” the city boasts beautiful parks, gardens, and vast forests that grace its urban and surrounding landscapes.
We will explore Ottoman Marvels.
Bursa is synonymous with the towering Uludağ mountain, a renowned ski resort. Discover the mausoleums of early Ottoman sultans, standing as silent witnesses to the city’s grand history. Ottoman-era edifices, including the intriguing Covered Bazaar, form the city’s iconic landmarks. Beyond the historical treasures, the fertile plain, thermal baths, and captivating museums, notably an archaeology-rich institution, contribute to Bursa’s allure.
In the afternoon, cable car Ascent to Uludağ.
Post a delectable lunch, elevate your experience with a cable car ascent to Uludağ Mountain, often referred to as the legendary Mount Olympos. The first stage unveils stunning panoramas as we ascend. A haven for winter sports enthusiasts, Uludağ transforms into a National Park during the summer, offering activities like trekking and camping amidst its diverse flora and fauna. Explore the old Silk Market within the Covered Bazaar, a testament to Bursa’s historical trading significance.
As the day unfolds its magic, we bid farewell to Bursa’s enchanting landscapes. Late evening sees us returning to Istanbul.
